Sliding Pay Scale

The Clay Corner now offers a sliding scale for existing members. â€‹Members who complete their 1st two-months at the studio qualify. Sign-up is available on the member portal.

Our standard monthly price of $330 is already amongst the cheapest in Seattle. We work hard to price our membership as low as possible.

We are adding a new pricing option, $280/m, ($250/m for an 8-month commitment).

Part of our mission is to make pottery as accessible as possible. It's expensive, we know that, so we can't make it free but we try where we can. Our scholarship program doesn't help existing members who just need a little bit of a break.

So, if you could benefit from that please do! Just go into your portal, cancel your current membership, and sign up for a new one at the lower price starting October 1st. If you have an 8-month pay-by-month membership, just shoot me an email and I will change your membership for the remainder of the time.

If $330 isn't too stressful for you, please consider staying at the standard rate.

We are excited to be able to offer this but there are a few things that everyone can do to help us continue to offer this pay-scale -

1. Pay the standard rate if possible. (We can't afford for the entire studio to be at the reduced rate, unfortunately).

2. Share the studio with your friends! We will continue to monitor how busy the studio is and make sure it doesn't get overloaded, but more members equals more resources.

3. Leave reviews online/ spread the word online. We have pretty much always relied on word of mouth and we love when people find us because they want to and not because we paid them to. ;)

As a reminder, a portion of your membership goes towards scholarships, free open-house Fridays for the community, a minimum of 3 fundraisers per year, ceramic career training, and more.

This offer is not available to new members, but will be available to any member after their 1st two months.

We will continue to offer this as long as we can, but I apologize in advance for the day that it is no longer feasible.

*$330/m is not the lowest price for strictly pottery studio access, but it is for studio access + classes + more. I am a firm believer that access to classes is essential and it's damaging to creativity to have them behind an additional paywall.
