INTRODUCTION TO WHEELTHROWING
This is a hands-on 2-hour class designed to give students an introduction to wheelthrowing. Our classes are 6 students max, so each student receives personalized attention to create a memorable piece.
At the end of the session, students choose a piece to keep and our staff fires & glazes them to be picked up in 4-6 weeks.
We encourage folks to wear clothes they are comfortable getting dirty in! All materials and tools are provided.

Instructors
Caitlin Molenaar
Caitlin works as an interior designer by day, but takes any chance she gets to step away from the computer and work with her hands, either in the woodshop, in the garden, or at The Clay Corner. She first sat down at a wheel nearly a decade ago and has spent the years since using clay as a creative outlet. She’s been instructing at the Clay Corner since 2023, and especially enjoys working with beginners and those new to clay. Taking a class with her promises to be a rewarding experience, where you’ll receive an introduction to the ceramics process, learn the basics of how to make a vessel, and enjoy an evening spent challenging your mind and body doing something new.
